Travis Ghirdharie is a dedicated Talent Equity Consultant at Edgility Talent Partners, where he
champions data-informed strategies to promote equitable compensation and sustainable
talent practices. With a deep-rooted passion for social impact, Travis brings a cross-sector
lens to his work, drawing on years of experience supporting school districts, charter
networks, and mission-driven nonprofits.

Travis began his career teaching high school history and special education through Teach
For America in Brooklyn, where he designed inclusive, high-impact curriculum and
supported students with diverse learning needs. His commitment to educational equity
continued beyond the classroom through roles in recruitment, retention, and talent strategy
across institutions like Teach For America, New Leaders, and KIPP.
He has led major recruitment initiatives, managed complex operations projects, and
facilitated alumni engagement at scale. From organizing recruitment events and developing
community-based pipelines, to advising districts on staff diversity, Travis is known for
building inclusive talent systems that reflect and serve local communities.
Travis holds a Master of Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management from the
Maxwell School at Syracuse University, where he developed stakeholder engagement plans
to support civic education nonprofits. He also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay
Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Anthropology
from Cornell University. His lived experience as a first-generation college student informs
his work daily and continues to ground his pursuit of equity in education and leadership.
